Hello Guys, and welcome to my blog; in today’s article, I will be sharing my personal experiences and insights on “how to make money with Google TV”.
Little about myself: As an avid user of Google TV and Chromecast with Google TV, I have had a lot of experience with this Google viewing platform, and I’m excited to share my tips and tricks with you on how you gonna be making $500 – $5,000 with Google TV.
What is Google TV?
First things first, let’s start with the basics before we move to the real deal – what is Google TV? Google TV is a smart TV Google platform that allows users of Google TV to access a wide variety of streaming services, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, all in one place.
Google TV also offers its viewers personalized recommendations based on your viewing history captured for a certain period and supports voice search using the Google Assistant Service.
Casting entertainment from your mobile device to your TV is made easy with Google TV’s built-in support for Chromecast. In 2020, Google announced a new Chromecast version dubbed Chromecast with Google TV, which featured a Google TV-specific interface and controller.
First-Hand Experience with Google TV and Chromecast
Since its inception in 2010, when I first started using Google TV, I’ve greatly admired the service. In 2020, I switched to Chromecast with Google TV and was quite pleased with the enhancements they made.
The tailored suggestions are a standout feature of Google TV. The fact that the app presents me with a list of materials specifically selected to appeal to my tastes upon launch is fantastic. Thanks to it, I’ve found many new series and movies, and it’s simplified my life.
One more thing I like is how simple it is to cast videos and shows from my mobile device. When I first started using a Chromecast, it was just the normal Chromecast, and I had to use my phone as the control. While the first setup wasn’t ideal, the new remote allows me to manage everything from the comfort of my couch.
Having Google Assistant built right into Google TV is another great feature. I find that voice search is quite useful since it allows me to just ask for what I want to watch, and the results immediately appear. I can use it to manage my other smart home gadgets as a bonus.
Make Money With Google TV
Let’s get down to brass tacks: what’s the best way to monetize Google TV? There are several approaches, and I’ll describe my favorites and explain why they work.
1. Create and Sell Google TV Apps
If you’re a programmer, you can make money by designing and selling apps for Google TV. Due to the platform’s infancy and the lack of established rivals, this market has considerable promise.
Keep in mind that Google has certain requirements for TV applications, and make sure yours abides by them. For instance, they insist that all apps have a user interface designed for remote control and be optimized for a TV screen.
Although I lack programming expertise, I know a number of people who have made good money developing apps for Google TV. Several thousand dollars have been made by a buddy of mine who developed a trivia game app.
2. Monetize Your Content with Advertising
Advertisements are a great way to make money from anything you’ve created, such as videos or podcasts. AdSense and AdMob are only two of the ad networks that work with Google TV.
One approach is to start a YouTube channel and distribute your content there. Then, you can add advertisements to your films and be paid for how many people watch and interact with them. Another choice is making your own website or blog and monetizing it through advertising. Google AdSense enables you to monetize your website by displaying relevant advertisements to your visitors.
For me, monetizing my YouTube videos has been a fantastic opportunity to bring in some additional cash. I have a channel where I review movies and TV series and have made money from advertising.
3. Provide Streaming Services
You may make money with Google TV if you have exclusive content that people are ready to pay for. You may, for instance, produce your own material and sell subscriptions to its viewing.
This is more difficult than the alternatives since it requires you to provide original material and grow an audience. If you can pull it off, the financial rewards might be substantial.
The Criterion Channel is one of the most popular Google TV streaming services. They have a dedicated following thanks to the wide range of old and new movies.
Making money with Google TV may also be done through affiliate marketing. You may earn a percentage on sales made through affiliate links included in your content or apps.
For instance, if you make a video review of a movie or TV show, you may promote the DVD or Blu-ray by linking to Amazon.com. After someone clicks on your affiliate link and completes a transaction, you will receive a commission.
4. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing requires some finesse because you don’t want to come out as overly promotional or aggressive. It’s not easy to make money this way, but if you can find a method to do it that also helps people, it can be quite rewarding.
5. Sell Physical Products
Using Google TV to advertise and sell actual things on online marketplaces like Amazon and eBay is now a real possibility. You may either promote your online shop directly in the text of your posts or generate app downloads by showcasing your items.
Keep in mind, though, that it may prove difficult to convince viewers to pull out their wallets while watching TV. The vast majority of consumers now like using their computers or mobile devices to purchase online. You can make sales, though, if you have a compelling product and a solid marketing plan.
From developing and selling applications to incorporating advertising into your content, Google TV offers a wide variety of opportunities for financial gain. Creating content and monetizing it with advertisements is, in my experience, the greatest way to make money with Google TV.
Remember that it takes time and work to set up a successful business or side hustle, regardless of the path you pursue. Though you might not see any changes right immediately, your efforts will pay off in the end.
