Wealth is a beautiful thing, no matter what people may say; we all want to be wealthy and rich because the truth remains that without wealth, we cannot do much in life.
However, the trappings of wealth and the glamour of social media have twisted the minds of young people, in such a way that they no longer desire to create value for wealth, but will rather do anything, in order to acquire unmerited wealth or quick riches.
Desire To Be Wealthy Without Stress
This inordinate pursuit of money without value addition is why we see many ills in our society today.
Imagine 17-year-old boys killing an innocent girl in the name of money ritual!
Last year, some ritualists that were caught, confessed to having murdered 3 girls already, yet they were not rich.
Their evil priest told them that the other girls he asked them to kill, were simply to make sure they were committed to the ritual and that they will not expose him (the priest)!
Who did this to our people biko nu!
How can human beings slaughter an innocent person, to harvest their organs? I even read that they gouged out the girl’s eyes while she was still alive!
So our youths truly believe what they see in Nollywood?
How can you believe that money will magically appear in your bedroom after killing somebody?
Where will the money be printed?
Don’t you know that every currency has a serial number from the CBN?
What kind of brainwashing is this?
Our youths must all be sent to London or the USA so they see how people hustle for money and get their heads straight!
Understanding the PROCESS of Creating Wealth
We have to teach our youths that money comes from value addition.
We have to give them the skills they need to create wealth and teach them financial literacy.
Bill Gates gave us Microsoft Windows and became the richest man in the world for more than 20 years.
Mark Zuckerberg gave us Facebook and became one of the youngest billionaires in the world.
Sam Bankman-fried, the youngest billionaire today, got there by trading Cryptocurrency.
Even our own Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, has a lot of tangible industries, from cement to Rice and oil refining.
Now tell me one money ritualist that is among the richest men in the world or even in Nigeria?
Please our youths, don’t be brainwashed by evil older men, that are poor themselves.
They cannot give you wealth, they only want to destroy your soul!
The Formula of Creating Wealth
Forgive my rant, I actually want to tell you something about building wealth…
Here is a simple formula to follow.
EARN, SAVE, INVEST, RE-INVEST
- First, you have to earn money, no matter how small.
- Then you have to start saving some portion of it consistently.
- Next, you have to find a vehicle that will enable you to invest your savings and let the money work for you even while you sleep.
Then repeat the cycle..
That’s all…
Sure it looks simple, but it’s not that easy.
By the way, for the doubting Thomases, it’s something I do myself, and my portfolio will make you turn green if you know what I mean.
This strategy works.
Once you see your money constantly working for you, night and day, you know that your future is very bright.
The simple formula for building wealth can be represented in 4 simple words;
EARN => SAVE => INVEST => RE-INVEST
Even though this formula looks simple enough, it’s obvious that the majority of people are still struggling with the subject of wealth and money.
So at this point, I will begin to break down this formula and help you design a clearer roadmap for building your wealth following this simple principle.
It is very interesting to note that life is like a game.
Usually, you start with nothing, then gradually build up your resources to advance from a lower level to a higher level.
Sometimes in a game, players get a cheat code that gives them several advantages over other players.
The same applies in life.
Some people win the birth lottery and get into a rich man’s house or into a rich country, while some are born into poverty.
But just like in a game, the cheat code will not guarantee that you will win the game.
Eventually, you must still learn to build up your resources and skills and advance from level to level, just like everyone else.
But let’s just focus on the masses, who are not born into wealth.
How do you play the game of life and come out on top?
You have to start with earning.
If you are not earning anything now, you have not even started the game of life, so today, let’s consider the problem of earning…

The most common excuse you hear today, especially among young people, is that there is no work in Nigeria.
Granted, Nigeria has suffered from a lack of effective leadership for many years now, which has thrown the country into a state of poverty, corruption, and hopelessness.
But if this is your excuse for being jobless and not earning any money, then I tell you honestly that you are deceiving yourself and yourself alone.
I was born into a modest middle-income family, like most of you, but since I graduated from the university way back in 2002, I have never for one day, been without a job.
In fact, I started working long before I graduated from school – and 90% of the time, I worked for myself.
Today, when I look at the massive opportunity available to youths, due to globalisation and the impact of the internet and mobile devices, I am amazed that many young people still live in the delusion that government has to give them work.

You have the Internet, YouTube, social media, blockchain, and all sorts of technology that are borderless and unlimited, yet you are waiting for older adults that don’t even understand modern technology, to come and make you rich 路

This morning, my younger sister sent me $190 to help her sell and invest.
Last Christmas, I taught her how to use her smartphone to generate money for her school needs.
She went crazy with the idea and started borrowing multiple phones and laptops to generate more money.
